Vancouver Adult Study Abroad
This program is authorized by the BC Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and includes University Transfer (UT) and Associate of Arts (AA) programs.
Students can transfer 100% of earned credits to universities in Canada or the U.S., entering directly into the third year of a bachelor’s degree — saving time and tuition costs.Credits completed at participating colleges are recognized (via BCCAT) by top BC universities such as UBC, SFU, UVic, and other universities across Canada and the U.S.
The AA degree is a two-year liberal arts program that builds a broad foundation in the humanities, social sciences, economics, and business.
Program Structure & Graduation Requirements
To earn an AA degree, students must complete 60 university-transferable credits:

Coquitlam College operates a Non-Competitive Admission policy. Applicants must meet one of the following:
- High school graduation (or equivalent)
- Technical / polytechnic diploma with 60%+ average
- Mature student (age 19+)
- TOEFL iBT 80+
- IELTS 6.0 (with 6.0+ in Reading & Writing)
- PTE 60 (with 60+ in Reading & Writing)
- Completion of the English Studies Program at Coquitlam College
- Transfer to 3rd year at major Canadian universities
- Continue studies in business, economics, IT, education, psychology, and more
- Employment in banking, accounting, education, or administration
- Pathway to Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) through Express Entry, CEC, etc.
